After completing this course, participants should be able to: • Define workplace bullying and why it is important. • Describe characteristics of workplace bully targets. • Identify characteristics and types of workplace bullies. • Explain when bullying behavior violates the law. • List some solutions to address and prevent workplace bullying.

Description:
This course is designed to heighten your awareness of bullying behaviors that may occur in the workplace. Characteristics of both bullies and their targets are discussed, along with the effects on persons involved directly and indirectly in bullying. While there are currently no federal laws specifically addressing workplace bullying, many states are considering the Healthy Workplace bill. Once we become aware of bullying, we can begin to change the environment and attitudes in the workplace.
