Description: The course will explore ethical and legal considerations of confidentiality in clinical practice for mental health, medical, and other helping profession. By the time you complete this course, you should be able to understand the concept of confidentiality, distinguish the difference between confidentiality and privileged communication, identify a practical decision making model for protecting client confidentiality, and define the personal risk factors that might contribute unintentional breach of confidentiality.
